Going up in the world.

...Just a quickie, actually.
Two wonderful, powerful men have new jobs this week.
One has the power to change a nation for the better, to look after his people and get dressed up in his finery to meet other very important people.

The other is now in charge of America.

Who is the first one then, i hear you cry?

My lovely Father in Law has been voted in as the new Mayor of Solihull.

As long as i don't have to call him 'Your Worship' when he comes over for dinner, he'll be alright.

  2. SH, I have just tagged you to write 10 honest things about yourself; the logo, and my pitifully boring contributions, are on my blog today. Still can't do links!

  4. Hi, there's a blog award waiting for you on my blog! We survived the storms that battered France and Spain over the weekend, but it was interesting!

  5. I have never envied anyone that holds such office. They have a lot to bear upon their shoulders. I hope our new president does the things he says he will.

I am sure your father-in-law will do a wonderful job as mayor.

I'll give this some thought, and post up something.
This one will get the old brain matter rumbling...

  9. Thanks Danni- i wouldn't want to be the President of America either... i think it's the same with politics all over the world...a new government comes in, tries to sort out what the old government cocked up and on and on it goes.
But, if anyone can make a difference, it has to be Mr Obama...fingers crossed!
Thanks for your congrats for my lovely FiL- he is going to make a brilliant Mayor.

Your words are every bit as important as Mr Shakespeares.
Put some of them together, and leave me a comment...but don't worry if it takes me a few days to get round to reading them- i have nine jobs and a writer who needs me!
